Chilean wine producer Viña Errazuriz was named Winery of the Year 2008 by the Viños de Chile Association, at the sixteenth annual Wine Gala, held in Casa Lo Matta Santiago, Chile.

President of Viña Errazuriz Eduardo Chadwick received the accolade from Edmundo Perez Yoma, the Chilean Minister of the Interior.

The Association was impressed by Viña Errazuriz in terms of the company’s commitment to “demonstrating the quality of Chilean wine around the world and incorporating the concept of sustainability in producing fine wines.” It was by unanimous decision that Viña Errazuriz was honoured for their ongoing international education programme incorporating seminars and tutored tastings that focus on quality and promoting Chile wines internationally, as well as for the quality of their wines.

Eduardo Chadwick said: “This award affirms decades of work by many people whose hard work has made this winery an example of the concern for detail and an ongoing quest for excellence.”
