Maker's Mark expands Private Select to travel retail

12 December, 2019

Maker’s Mark has announced the launch of Private Select in collaboration with Heinemann duty free in Australia.

The new whisky is exclusive to travel retail and said to have notes of black cherry and tobacco and is available at Sydney International Airport for AU$120.

Customers travelling through Sydney throughout December will have the opportunity to sample the liquid at the Heinemann Tasting Bar.

Ed Stening, global marketing director at Beam Suntory, said: “Following an exciting design process with our friends at Heinemann, we’re delighted to announce the launch of Heinemann Private Select into global travel retail this December.

“The launch of Heinemann Private Select is a first for travel retail and we’re extremely excited to see how well the spirit performs following its success in both the UK and US market.”

As the name suggests, we’ve used hazel wood as the hero of this edition alongside other familiar, native broadleaf trees, including silver birch and oak from our own forest.
