Jack Daniel's launches new Tennessee Calling format

08 July, 2019

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey has launched a new format for the fourth edition of its cocktail competition Tennessee Calling.

The Tennessee Calling IV final will be held at London Cocktail Week from 9 - 10 October, where 12 finalists will be separated into two teams of six to represent the two saloon bars originally established by Jack Daniel in Tennessee.

Under the mentorship of either Mint Gun Club’s Rich Hunt or Original Sin’s Tom Loosli, the winning team will be flown to the home of Jack Daniel’s, Tennessee, to celebrate their victory.

Nidal Ramini, head of advocacy, Europe & Africa at Brown Forman said: “Jack Daniel’s is excited to launch Tennessee Calling IV with this brand new format, embodying what our Tennessee whiskey is all about - entrepreneurialism, creativity and consistency.

“Bringing Jack’s original Lynchburg saloons to life for Tennessee Calling through two of London’s leading bars continues our commitment to pioneering mentorship in the industry.”

Tennessee Calling IV is now inviting bartenders from across the UK to submit a cocktail recipe before the closing deadline of 31 August.
