Agile Media appoints DI commercial director

Rob Cullen has joined the expanding Agile Media team as Drinks International’s new commercial director, replacing Roger Betriu.

Cullen has worked in publishing – both traditional and digital - global events and exhibitions throughout his career.

Cullen said: “I’m really excited to be moving into the drinks industry. Straight away I can see there is a buzz in this business. It’s an exciting time to be involved, with bartenders seemingly following the trajectory of super chefs.

"At this early stage I have a great deal to learn about the industry but I hope to combine my experience in publishing and events with the huge body of existing knowledge at Agile Media and that of our customers to help make a great industry become even greater.”

In his spare time Cullen is a musician, a volunteer Lifeboat man and a keen sailor, regularly crossing the English Channel to, in his words, “perform important quality control checks on Normandy’s mussels, cheeses, Bordeaux wines and Calvados”. He is married with two children, a dog, two cats, two goldfish, a hamster and three chickens.
