Campari full year results

Gruppo Campari has published its full year results for 2014 which it says is in line with its expectations.

It reports sales of €1.56 million (+2.4%, organic growth +3.4%) while its group net profit is down -13.9% due, it says, to negative one-off’s (€43.2m). It reports adjusted group net profit as €154.4m, down -0.7%.

It highlights:

- Solid full year organic sales growth, accelerating in fourth quarter;

- Continued strong momentum for aperitifs and good progression in Jamaican rum portfolio;

- Business expected to benefit from strengthened route-to-market, enhanced production capabilities as well as innovation.

Negatives included foreign exchange rates which impacted -4.1% in sales driven by a devaluation of key currencies against the Euro and the termination of agency contracts following the acquisitions of Forty Creek distillery and Gruppo Averna.
