Jose Cuervo tops best selling tequila list

Jose Cuervo was the largest selling tequila in the world in 2012, selling 4.4m 9-litre cases, according to The Millionaire's Club 2013.

The Mexican heavyweight beat Beam’s Sauza, which was in second place in the top-ten list of tequila brands.

The third biggest tequila was Patrón, which sold 2m cases in 2012.

El Jimador was fourth in the best-sellers’ list, with sales of 1.2m cases.
