Gancia in US distribution deal

24 July, 2013

Italian sparkling wine Gancia is to be distributed by The Wine Group in the US.

The Italian sparkling wine portfolio was previously distributed by Miami-based OWS. The new deal includes the company's Prosecco, Moscato D’Asti, Asti and Moscato Rosé. Gancia was first introduced to the US in 1946.

Fritz Lance, The Wine Group’s president of international and alliances said: "This alliance brings together two fantastic cultures. We share a passion for delivering unbeatable brand value and continuous innovation to consistently exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Roustam Tariko’s Russian Standard business has owned a majority stake in Gancia since 2011.
