UK RumFest returns

06 June, 2013

The UK RumFest takes place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October at London's ExCeL exhibition centre in London’s Docklands

The organisers claim a brand new programme for the seventh annual event and a two-tiered ticketing structure, for  visitors and rum brands which provide an opportunity to tailor their experience depending on whether they are a discerning drinker or a new enthusiast, an established rum brand or a newcomer.

Tickets to the public are on sale now with the standard ticket priced at £25 plus booking fee and premium tickets, which give access to the new Connoisseur Cove at £45 plus booking fee. All tickets are available from the RumFest website.

According to the organisers, the Connoisseur’s Cove give “an additional exclusive access to the most exquisite rum brands available at the moment where visitors are invited to take their journey of rum discovery to the next level”.

Ian Burrell, self-styled Global Rum Ambassador and founder of The Rum Experience said: "UK RumFest offers rum brands from across the globe to showcase their new or established brands to an audience who suits their objectives and ambitions. Through the creation of the new Connoisseur's Cove area we will deliver a platform for premium and exclusive rum brands to showcase their products to a wanting and discerning audience, yet maintaining the carnival traditions with the rum bars and brands featuring within the main arena.

“Our ambitions are to propel the rum category even further within the industry and to educate those who are eager to learn and discover. Those who know me well understand the great passion and love I have for rum and it's with great pleasure to be able to create an event to be enjoyed by all," said Burrell.
