12 September, 2012

Christian de Portzamparc and Martell XO Architect Edition

The Martell XO Architect Edition by Christian de Portzamparc will debut in Hong Kong International Airport this month.

This is the first time an Architect Edition will be available in the travel retail channel. De Portzamparc is regarded as one of the world’s great architects.

The Martell XO Architect Edition will also be available in Macau and Taiwan Taoyuan airport duty free Stores in December 2012 and in Kuala Lumpur International Airport duty free stores from April to May 2013. Only 2,550 bottles will be available in Asia Duty Free.

The limited edition continues previous partnerships between Martell and major architects aimed at making innovative packaging and bottles to provide a “unique cognac drinking experience”.

The Martell XO Architect Edition by Christian de Portzamparc has a striking gift case that is said to “capture the light and uses the cognac’s mahogany colour to create a diffused glow; to transform the case into a delicate architectural material which envelopes the bottle in subtle opacity”.
