Italy: Guerrieri Rizzardi appoints new marketing boss

26 April, 2010

Italian wine producer Guerrieri Rizzardi has announced the re-appointment of Rupert Dean, as international sales & marketing manager.

Dean, who has taken up the position at Guerrieri Rizzardi’s head office in Bardelino (Italy), will oversee the development of the company’s international sales channels and will be responsible for all the trade marketing activities across the Guerrieri Rizzardi portfolio.

In 2006 Dean moved to Italy to be international sales & marketing manager for Guerrieri Rizzardi before joining the ValVeri Wine Investment Group in 2007, based in Austria, as director of marketing.

In 2009, the ValVeri Group suffered in the economic crisis and Dean decided to take a ten month sabbatical in Latin America.

Dean said: “It’s an exciting time to be working with Guerrieri Rizzardi.  We are becoming increasingly recognised as one of the greatest classic Italian wine producers in Italy, Guerrieri Rizzardi wines continue to win prestigious awards internationally. The Italian wine category as a whole has also seen fantastic growth in demand and popularity in recent years.”
