LIWF and Distil appoint new board members

21 December, 2009

Brintex has announced the appointment of Jacqueline Snoeker and Oliver Thieme as the two latest additions to the London International Wine Fair (LIWF) and Distil Advisory Board.

Jacqueline Snoeker has been with the Ahold Group, an international group of supermarkets based in the US and Europe, since 1992. In 2003 she took on the role of senior wine buying manager of the whole Ahold Group and is currently responsible for the Ahold Wine Buying Center, which buys wines for over 1,700 stores. Jacqueline has also been noted by Meininger’s Wine Business International as one of the most influential wine personalities in the Netherlands.

The second new addition for the Adivisory Board is Oliver Thieme. Oliver is the managing director of the CWD Champagner und Wein Distributionsgesellschaft, which is part of the Hawesko Group - a specialist in the mail order and premium wholesale.

James Murray, show director, said: “As the world’s leading wine industry event, it is vital that the London International Wine Fair continues to meet the high standards expected from its broad international audience and having such a talented group of industry professionals on the Advisory Board enables us to achieve such standards each year.”

Jacqueline and Oliver join the existing 10 members of the Advisory Board.
