The drinks industry has been left in suspense after a trade court in the US blocked Donald Trump from imposing global import tariffs.

The Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal by German supermarket chain Aldi over a ruling made last year which stated the discounter copied Marks and Spencer’s festive gin bottle design.

UK: AB InBev and Budějovický Budvar can continue to use the Budweiser name simultaneously.

The Supreme Court of Spain has ruled in favour of Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government in the Havana Club trademark dispute with Bacardi.

An attempt by AB InBev  to register the Budweiser trademark  as a Community Trade Mark within the EU has been rejected by the European Court of Justice.
