Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival attracts 300+ beers

28 February, 2018

Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival has attracted more than 40 breweries from around the world including the US, Scandinavia and the UK, set to take place on 25-27 May 2018.

Event organisers, Greg Wells and Dan Sylvester have increased the size of the festival for 2018, both in footprint and capacity. The brewers will be offering more than 300 beers to an audience of more than 3,000 people.

The event will also have DJ sets from recognized artists and bands including Two Door Cinema Club alongside local street food organised in partnership with Pitt Street Market.

Event co-founder and organiser Greg Wells said: “We’re proud to be bringing back our unique combination of the best craft beer, brilliant music acts and locally-sourced street food, all under one roof. This year’s hand-picked line-up is not something you’ll want to miss.”

Amongst the brewers will be winners of the first-ever ‘Raise the Bar’ competition, hosted by festival organisers, We are Beer. The initiative seeks to find new, up-coming brewers in a bid to champion new talent.

A panel of industry experts will independently blind taste all submissions and then select the top four brewers, who will be provided with a platform to showcase their beer at the Edinburgh Festival.
