Vermouth di Torino Institute makes UK debut

The newly formed Vermouth di Torino Institute celebrated its UK debut last night with a tasting of 15 vermouths from the Piedmont region.

The Institute is an association that aims to value, promote and enhance the quality of ‘Vermouth di Torino’ and its continued expansion in global markets of its producers.

It was established April 2017 in Turin by the companies and the brands that represent the vast majority of the production of the denomination.

Its brands comprise: Berto, Bordiga, Del Professore, Carlo Alberto, Carpano, Chazalettes, Cinzano, Giulio Cocchi, Drapò, Gancia, La Canellese, Martini & Rossi, Sperone, Vergnano, Tosti.

The UK event was hosted by Roberto Bava, the institute’s president (Cocchi) and Roberta Mariani (Martini) at the newly opened Ritorno bar in Chelsea and was attended by representivites from the brands and key bartending figures in the industry.
