Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2016 opens for entries

07 December, 2015

The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) is now officially open for 2016 entries.

The CSWWC claims to be the first and only terroir-driven competition judged exclusively by internationally renowned sparkling wine experts, who all taste each and every wine submitted to guarantee consistency and accuracy of judging.

Founded by Tom Stevenson (pictured), with the support and expertise of Essi Avellan MW and Dr Tony Jordan, the CSWWC is said to provide both consumers and trade with the definitive annual guide to the best champagnes and sparkling wines, according to the organisers.

Stevenson and his team are introducing a new showcase tasting in London in October 2016, offering producers the opportunity to present their award-winning wines to UK-based trade and press.

Founder and chairman of the Judges, Tom Stevenson said: “In 2015 we welcomed 113 new producers and six new countries to the competition. We hope this trend will continue in 2016, when we look forward to receiving entries from sparkling wines of exceptional quality and value from all origins, styles and price points.”
