Pernod Ricard announces executive appointments

Pernod Ricard has announced a number of appointments that will see the current CEO of Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët (MMPJ), Philippe Guettat, head Pernod Asia. 

Guettat will replace Pierre Coppéré who has been appointed executive vice-president in charge of growth initiatives.

Coppéré’s role has been described as "an 18-month mission”, in which he will “oversee the implementation of initiatives designed to accelerate top line growth.” He will be based in Hong Kong from July.

Chairman and CEO of Pernod, César Giron, will replace Guettat as CEO of MMPJ and be based in Paris.

Philippe Savinel will assume Giron’s role. Savinel’s appointment is part of the final stage of the ‘Leaders’ operational efficiency project launched in February 2014.

Other appointments include current group marketing and commercial development director, Connor McQuaid as global business development director (March 1) and Peter Morehead as group operations director, from April 1.
