Bacardi appoints new regional presidents

30 June, 2014

Bacardi Limited has announced the internal appointments of two new regional presidents.

Jon Grey, 52, assumes responsibility- effective immediately- for all commercial operations in the Asia Pacific region, while Mahesh Madhavan, 51, leads commercial operations for the company’s premium spirits portfolio in the Middle East & Africa region.

Interim CEO of family-owned Bacardi, Michael J. Dolan, said: “These two emerging businesses are critical to the continued growth of Bacardi. I have full confidence in the ability and expertise of Jon and Mahesh to continue to drive our business and the premiumisation of spirits in these markets.”

Grey succeeds Siddik Tetík, who recently announced his decision to leave Bacardi. Tetík will take on special projects over the next several months to help with a smooth transition. Madhavan replaces Grey in his capacity as regional president for MEA.

As regional presidents, Grey and Madhavan will also serve as members of the Bacardi Global Leadership Team and report to Dolan. The company will begin a search for the new leader of its Global Operations group.
