International Cider Challenge open for entries

14 February, 2013

Entries are now open for this year’s International Cider Challenge, organised by UK trade title and DI sister magazine, Off Licence News.

Producers have until March 22 to make their submissions, which will then be considered by a panel of expert judges in April.

Last year’s competition drew 120 entries from countries across the globe, including Australia, Canada, UK, Ireland, France and the Czech Republic.

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference French Sparkling cider, produced by Les Celliers Associes, scooped the only gold medal to be awarded, with 52 other names winning silver and bronze awards across nine cider categories: dry, fruit, medium, organic, perry/pear, specialist, sweet, single variety and best design and packaging.
