Rheingau estate wins top award in German wine guide

Rheingau estate Schloss Johannisberg has been awarded Collection of the Year in the 2009 edition of German wine guide Gault Millau.

Rheingau estate Schloss Johannisberg has been awarded Collection of the Year in the 2009 edition of German wine guide Gault Millau.

The winery won the award for its 2007 vintage. Four wines from the 2007 vintage were listed in the guide’s top ten: Schloss Johannisberg Silberlack in dry Riesling; Schloss Johannisberg Grünlack in Riesling Spätlese; Schloss Johannisberg Rosalack in Riesling and Schloss Johannisberg Goldlack  in the Auslese and Edelsüß category.

Trade shows – remember them? Before the world stopped we’d have attended a number of them throughout the year and be able to look down the list of recognisable guest speakers with their seminar titles. They were a source of great education which had been curated by the organisers to provide a spread of credible, engaging information.
