Molnar and Nagy launch Pink Pony Club in Budapest

01 June, 2020

Industry-renowned bartenders Balázs Molnar and Zoltan Nagy have opened a new cocktail bar underneath Boutiq Bar in Budapest called Pink Pony Club (PPC).

The menu has a sustainability focus with seven signature cocktails, three classics and three seasonal highballs and the bar stocks just two varieties of each spirits category.

“We believe the cocktail culture is rapidly growing in Hungary but it lacks an experimental yet casual cocktail bar,” said Molnar. “Our answer to it is PPC.

“It is an experimental cocktail bar focusing on simplicity with well crafted, continuously changing cocktails, combined with an impeccable hospitality service.

"PPC represents hospitality on the highest level with yet a very casual and friendly service provided by well trained professionals.”

Molnar gained his international reputation while working in five-star hotel bars around the world and was part of the Artesian bar team which won four consecutive World’s 50 Best Bars titles under Simone Caporale and Alex Kratena.

Meanwhile Zoltan has been operating Boutiq Bar for the past 10 years, during which time it featured on The World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2012, and Molnar has returned to Budapest to co-launch the new 30-capacity venue.
