Initially launching into the on and off trade, distribution will focus on Dehli, Mumbai and Bangalore with plans to expand to Goa, Chandigarh and Kolkata later in 2018.
Aspri Spirits co-founder Jackie Matai said: “Interest in cocktails is growing fast in India, opening up a huge opportunity for Tito’s and the fact that it is certified gluten-free will result in higher acceptance here as consumers are becoming increasingly gluten-conscious.”
From September this year Tito’s will be available in all major airport stores including Dehli Duty Free, Dufry Bangalore, Maldives Duty Free, Flemingo Chennai, Goa and most recently Mumbai Duty Free and GMR Hyderabad.
Tito’s managing director international, John McDonnell, said: “This region offers huge promise for Tito’s, driven by the population’s desire to discover global trends.
“Dark spirits have historically dominated the market, but as the cocktail scene gathers momentum Tito’s will lead the charge for white spirits and for craft.”
