12 May, 2017

The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference in Singapore recorded the largest number of visitors in its 22-year history.

3,087 visitors attended the duty free show, an increase of 6% from 2,905 in 2016 and more than 1,200 companies were represented.

TFWA president, Erik Juul-Mortensen, said: “We were delighted to see record figures across all key parameters at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference.

“The event was confirmation of the huge importance of this region to the great industry that is duty free and travel retail.”

The exhibition occupied a total of 10,254 square metres with a total of 316 companies exhibiting, 76 of which were new to the show.

385 official meetings were arranged throughout the show between 41 airports, 44 airlines and inflight sales operators, and 11 cruise and ferry companies.
