International Wine Clubs Association elects new committee

The International Wine Clubs Association (IWCA) has announced that it has elected a new committee for the period 2010 to 2012 and chairman Jakob Schuler of Swiss company, St Jakobs Kellerei, was reelected for his fourth and final term.

The association, which represents 37 wine clubs and direct selling wine merchants from 17 countries, is directed by a strategic committee composed of the chairman, treasurer, an elected officer and seven other committee members.

The IWCA committee comprises: chairman – Jakob Schuler; Treasurer – Bernard Le Marois, Wine and Co, France; Officer – Xavier Kat, Okhuysen, Netherlands. The committee members are: – Veronique Reiffers, Baron Philippe De Rothschild, France; Jose-Maria Cornella, Club Del Vino, Argentina; Johnny Wheeler, The Wine Company, UK; Simon McMurtrie, Direct Wines, UK; Alexander Margaritoff, Hawesko, Germany; Manuel Hevia, Vinoseleccion, Spain; Darlyne Miller, Cameron Hughes Wine, US.

CEO Sophie Jump was reappointed after completing her first two years.

The next IWCA workshop takes place in New York between October 18 and 21,
