UK: Constellation launches Echo Falls Chilean wines

19 May, 2009

UK: Constellation Europe has launched two new Chilean varietals - Echo Falls Sauvignon Blanc and Echo Falls Shiraz.

Constellation launched Echo Falls Spritz last year and the new varietals aim to appeal to young, new-to-wine consumers.

According to Neilsen figures, Echo Falls is a top 20 UK wine brand showing 23% value growth year-on-year. The move is a first for Constellation Europe, which at present has no mainstream Chilean brand.

Neilsen research suggests that the Chilean category is currently underperforming in the UK, and its consumer base is older with a distinctive male bias.

The launch of Echo Falls’ new Chilean varietals will be backed by a summer-long marketing campaign. The new varietals are now available to order across all channels with an off-trade SSP of £5.49.
