To celebrate 100 years of the Johnnie Walker Striding Man, Johnnie Walker Blue Label has created one hundred sets of five exclusive bottles. Each one is hand engraved with its trademark slanted label and a Striding Man design from the last 100 years.
The celebrations start on 2 December and each numbered bottle is expected to sell for $500. Creative director Valerie Wicks said: “The bottles are great gift ideas and we think people will like the mix of classic and modern design.”

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is part of Diageo’s Reserve Brands collection – the luxury division of the company’s portfolio. The other seven main brands are Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V; Johnnie Walker Gold Label; Talisker single malt whisky; Tanqueray No. Ten gin; Ciroc vodka; Ketel One vodka; Zacapa rum; and Tequila Don Julio.

Diageo Reserve Brands general manager Ben Anderson said he wasn’t worried about sales of luxury brands during the difficult economic climate. He said: “People might think twice about large considered purchases – a car for example – but people will still treat themselves to a good drink.”
