Cloudy Bay sponsors yachts at America's Cup

11 May, 2017

New Zealand wine producer Cloudy Bay has partnered with J Class yachts in the UK to act as the fleet’s principal partner at the America’s Cup.

Cloudy Bay, one of the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands, has also become the presenting partner of the Round the Island Race for 2017 and 2018 where brand ambassador and British adventurer, Ben Fogle will be part of the Cloudy Bay crew throughout the season.

Jean-Guillaume Prats, president of estates and wine at Moët Hennessy, said: “We are delighted to become principal partner of the J Class Association.

“The brand has always been inspired by the nautical universe, quite evidently because of its location in the southwestern Pacific Ocean and the maritime influence that stems from it. This partnership with J Class therefore seemed a foregone conclusion, almost natural.”

The partnership was made official at the St Barths Bucket four-day regatta in March and it is the first time in more than 80 years that J Class yachts has been invited to compete in Bermuda at the America’s Cup.
