Cloudy Bay to have fourth Chelsea Flower Show garden

22 April, 2016

New Zealand wine brand Cloudy Bay is returning for a fourth year to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Created by landscape architect Sam Ovens – a first-timer at Chelsea and one of the youngest to design a show garden at Chelsea this year – the garden takes its inspiration from the surroundings of the Marlborough-based winery and his studio in Cornwall.

A Cloudy Bay Bar, where visitors can enjoy a glass of signature wines Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, will also be available.

Maria Ines Pina, senior brand manager of Cloudy Bay, said: “The garden is an embodiment of natural luxury, with clean lines, serene water and planting providing a place to escape with a glass of wine in hand.” She added that it is “an exciting way for us to engage with our customers on the vibrant aspects of our identity.”

After the Chelsea Flower Show has finished, elements of the Cloudy Bay Garden will be taken to Stoke Mandeville as part of charity, Horatio’s Garden’s work, which creates accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres around the UK.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show takes place between 24 to 28 May 2016.
