Label 5 18 YO Extra Rare launches at Cannes

22 October, 2013

French spirits group La Martiniquaise has extended its blended Scotch line with the launch of Label 5 18 YO Extra Rare at TFWA Cannes this week.

Positioned in the super-premium price segment, the 18-year-old variant of Label 5 Black, which is in the top ten of the world’s best selling whiskies, is said to be a response to consumers’ “thirst for premium spirits”.

Aurélie Prat, brand manager of Label 5 said: “Our objective with this new super premium reference is to combine expertise, tradition and modernity and I’m delighted with the result.

"I have big expectations for this latest addition which I’m sure will translate into further success and that will attract new consumers to the brand and give the opportunity to our loyal consumers to try something new within the Label 5 range."

Graham Coull, Master blender of Label 5, added: “This whisky intensifies Label 5’s trademark flavour profile. The result is a smooth Scotch whisky of exceptional richness.”
