Funkin Innovation Labs returns for 2019

14 March, 2019

Fruit purée and cocktail mixer company Funkin Cocktails has announced a new series of its Innovation Labs, a training programme for bartenders across the UK, in association with London’s Crucible.

The sessions will be led by Rosey Mitchell who runs London bar Three Sheets, which won Bar of the Year at CLASS Bar Awards, together with Romeo de Wit, an authority on kegged cocktails.

Stuart Bale, founder Crucible, will oversee the hands-on training sessions, which will run across March and April in London, Aberdeen and Leeds and be free to attend

Funkin Innovation Labs 2019 will follow a similar theme to last year, focusing on the importance of balancing acids and sugars in cocktails.

“Last year’s Funkin Innovation Labs were most enjoyable and it’s great to be asked back again,” said Bale. “This year I’ve captured who I consider to be two of the most exciting folk around just now. They have taken last year’s content and run with it and I’m really looking forward to watching them blast faces off.”

Funkin Innovation Labs are a prequel for bartenders entering Funkin Innovation Champion 2019, providing motivation and stimulation to help develop winning cocktails.

All participants of Funkin Innovation Labs will also receive a free copy of The Cocktail Competition Handbook, by Andy Ives.
