Industry leaders will meet in Rioja this November to discuss the future of the wine industry.

Industry leaders will meet in Rioja this November to discuss the future of the wine industry.

WineFuture-Rioja 2009 is an international conference created and owned by the Wine Academy of Spain.

Wine experts including Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson, Oz Clarke and Steven Spurrier will be present, along with the likes of Dan Jago from UK supermarket chain Tesco and Troy Christensen from Constellation Brands Europe.

This conference, supported by the CRDC Rioja, will be held in the city of Logroņo on 12 and 13 November 2009. Topics include the global financial crisis, the environment, how to improve sales, consumption trends, the challenges that the on-trade is going through, brands, marketing strategies and the emerging markets.

American wine critic Robert Parker, will give a speech, take part in one of the panels and conduct a guided tasting.
