Sweden: Nigab to distribute Matusalem rum

Cuban rum Matusalem is to be distributed by Nigab in the Swedish market and to Nordic Duty Free & Travel Retail.

Nigab commercial director Stefan Andersson said: "We're pleased and proud to have been appointed as the new distributor and we're really looking forward to working with this classic drink.

Matusalem Rum was established in Cuba in 1872 but the Alvarez family were forced into exile after Castro came into power in 1959 and it is now produced in the Dominican Republic.

Distribution will begin on October 15.
