The announcment came during a lunch in acknowledgement of René Araneda, who left his committee position after more than 10 years’ service.
Herane said: “I aim to support the trade association in the best way, contributing to the industry as a whole and towards the 2025 strategy which, amongst other things, strives to position the country as the number one producer of Premium, sustainable, and diverse new world wines.”
The current board of Wines of Chile comprises: Mario Pablo Silva (President), Alfonso Undurraga (Vice-president) and directors: Pedro Herane, Eduardo Carvallo, Thomas Domeyko, Andrés Lavados, Wilfred Leigh, Aurelio Montes and Jaime Valderrama.
