Cotswolds Distillery to enter US market

14 January, 2015

The Cotswolds Distillery has announced it will launch its flagship Dry Gin in the US after securing a deal with MHW ltd.

The distillery, located near the village of Stourton in South Warwickshire, started production of Cotswolds Single Malt and Cotswolds Dry Gin last September.

Plans have been confirmed for a New York launch of its first product in April. Meanwhile, two export deals have been completed in Germany, Belgium and France.

Daniel Szor, founder and CEO of the Cotswolds Distillery, said: “We are very excited to be bringing our gin to my hometown of New York so soon after its highly successful UK launch.

“The US market represents a significant opportunity for our firm and New York is a great place to start, given the appreciation of craft spirits, ultra‐premium products in general and ‘Made in England’ in particular.”

The first worldwide launch of Cotswolds Single Malt - made with local barley -  is planned for 2017.

John Beaudette, CEO of MHW Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Cotswolds Distillery on the US launch of their wonderful new gin. This new and iconic brand has achieved amazing success and recognition in the UK in a very short time and we are certain it will go far in New York and other major markets across the US.”
