The K Bar at The Kensington hotel has appointed Nuno Lage as Bar Manager to launch a new cocktail menu.

Lage has previously worked in some of London’s most notable hotel bars, and will be unveiling a new concept and cocktail list at The K Bar.

“The Kensington clearly has a strong wine philosophy with a dynamic list and fantastic producers,” said Lage. “I wanted to find a way to allow for continuity of the wine focus into the K Bar concept.”

Lage joins The K Bar from his position as assistant bar manager at The Gong Bar in London’s Shangri-La Hotel, where its ‘A Miscellany of Inventions’ menu was shortlisted for Best Cocktail Menu at Tales of The Cocktail 2018.

Having begun his career in his native Portugal working in the position of head bartender at Pacha Nightclub, Lage moved to London and worked at Hotel Café Royal in 2013.

He has since worked at Great Northern Hotel, South Place Hotel and more recently held the position of bar manager for Camino restaurants.
