Top bartenders launch consumer website

10 April, 2013

A group of drinks industry icons has launched a consumer-facing website to educate consumers on how to mix drinks.

Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR) founding members Dale DeGroff, Doug Frost, Steve Olson, F. Paul Pacult, Andy Seymour and David Wondrich have launched online teaching tool Drinkskool.com.

Frost said: “DrinkSkool is the cutting-edge, step-by-step online resource for cocktail creation and mixology methods. We designed and constructed DrinkSkool in such an approachable way that virtually anyone can become an accomplished maven of spirits and cocktails…even Dale and Paul.”

Drinkskool.com is laid out in 10 lessons, starting with Lesson One: Mixology through to Lesson Ten: Preparing for the Certified Drinks Expert Examination.

The website also includes tasting tips and spirits definitions.

Later in the year, BAR is to launched drinks expert exams under the Drinkskool banner.
