US: Former Pernod boss joins Philadelphia Distilling

US: The former CEO of Pernod Ricard Americas has joined craft company Philadelphia Distilling as senior advisor.

US: The former CEO of Pernod Ricard Americas has joined craft company Philadelphia Distilling as senior advisor.

Alain Barbet will advise on the development and overall operations of the company.

Barbet was most recently Chairman and CEO of Pernod-Ricard Americas, where he managed the integration of Absolut Vodka.

Andrew Auwerda, president of Philadelphia Distilling, said: "The addition of Alain Barbet to our management team strengthens our organization and brings a depth of experience in the industry that will benefit Philadelphia Distilling, both internally and within the spirits industry.”

Barbet said. "PD is a small company but has great ambition. I believe that my experience can be of value to expand the reach and operations of the company. The partners of Philadelphia Distilling, its culture and its view of the future of our industry are a perfect fit and I look forward to getting started."
