This year’s edition will feature 20 new wines, with five exclusive to Crown Cellars including Domaine Horgelus Gros Manseng Sauvignon, Les Vignes d’Héloïse Pinot Noir Rosé IGP and Pocket Watch Shiraz.
Crown Cellars, which has been supplying wines to the UK on-trade for more than 25 years, collaborated with wine buyer Louise Boddington and MW Jonathan Pedley to create this year’s selection.
Alongside the main brochure, Crown Cellars has also launched a tasting guide for operators. The guide will feature ‘Pedley’s Picks’ - a roundup of his personal favourites from this year’s collection as as well as helpful information for the on-trade such as identifying styles and pricing, as well as insight, advice, and training support.
To accompany the launch this year, Crown Cellars will be undergoing a brand-refresh which will include a new website with the full wine range, monthly product spotlights, food pairing information, tasting videos and customer testimonials.
“For nearly three decades we have built a fantastic relationship with the trade,” said Pedley. “They know and respect us for our insight, knowledge and experience, and in turn we listen to the market and adapt to what operators and bartenders are telling us.
“This year, we had the task of trying over 125 different wines. We have wines from across the globe, from the new world and old wine producing countries, including Australia, California, New Zealand, France and Georgia.
“When narrowing down our choice, we listened to what the on-trade told us about consumer demands and needs, and from this whittled it down to just 20 additions.”
