English wine to debut at ProWein

08 February, 2013

Five English wine procuders are to exhibit under the English Wine Producers (EWP) banner for the first time at ProWein 2013.

The stand is to include established brands as well as a new producer who will show their wines for the first time - Hattingley Valley. Established producers at the show include Bolney Wine Estate; Chapel Down; Gusbourne Estate and Ridgeview Wine Estate.

Some have developed sales overseas while others are looking to drive export.

The EWP stand will incorporate the statement 'This is England' and styles on show are not limited to the country's infamous sparkling wine.

Julia Trustram Eve, marketing director of English Wine Producers said: "We are particularly proud to be exhibiting at ProWein this year. The line up of producers and their award-winning wines will display the confidence and professionalism that this industry represents.

"This is the first time that EWP has exhibited collectively at an overseas wine trade show - and being at one of the most important international wine exhibitions is a significant move for our producers, and will reinforce England's place on the world wine stage."

The EWP stand will be located in Hall 6 - stand no 6 D04.
