Bacardi appoints new global travel retail marketing boss

Bacardi global travel retail has appoints Trent Russell as global marketing director.

Russell has been marketing director for Bacardi China for three years, where he worked on building the Dewar’s brand.

Prior to China, Russell held marketing roles in Bacardi's joint venture business, Bacardi Lion, in his home country Australia. At Bacardi Lion, he was a member of the executive team.

Andrew Carter, managing director, Bacardi global travel division, said: “We're thrilled with Trent's appointment to Global Travel Retail. He brings a combination of strategic consumer marketing skills, international brand experience, strong customer orientation, and the transformational leadership skills that are required to deliver our vision of making Bacardi Global Travel Retail the fastest growing premium spirits company in the industry.”

A replacement for the marketing director in China will be announced in due course.
