Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya to get new distro

17 November, 2009

In a deal between Panama-based distributor Scottish Spirits and the Federal State Enterprise FKP Sojuzplodoimport in Moscow, Scottish Spirits has been granted rights for worldwide distribution of the Russian government's Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya vodkas.

Scottish Spirits is a major distributor of whiskies in Latin America and other international markets. For the distribution of the Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya lines, Scottish Spirits is planning to appoint new distributors and sub-distributors worldwide.

Reynald Katz, Scottish Spirits export manager, said: "I am very happy to have signed such an exciting arrangement with Fkp Sojuzplodoimport.

“With this deal our export sales will increase by $20 million.”

Previously the Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya brands were distributed by an Eastern European group which lost the distribution rights due to trademark infringement issues with Enterprise Fkp Sojuzplodoimport.
