Diageo has announced two new senior appoints in Great Britain and Ireland. Andrew Cowan has been appointed to the role of country director, Diageo GB, and David Smith to the position of country director, Diageo Ireland.
Cowan, who is currently commercial director, Ireland, will report in to Andrew Morgan, president of Diageo Europe, effective September 1. In the new role he will be responsible for leading the GB spirits and beer business by “driving the commercial agenda”.
Smith, currently sales director, Diageo GB, will report to Western Europe’s chief operating officer, John Kennedy, effective September 1. In the new role he will be responsible for leading the Ireland spirits and beer business.
