Prosecco Follador enters UK market

11 October, 2010

Winemaker and Prosecco brand Follador is launching to the UK market with a portfolio of sparkling and still wines.

A family business since 1769, Follador says it is “seeking to capitalise on the growth of prosecco in the UK’ by launching to the “on-trade and the independent retail sectors”.

Christina Follador, sales and marketing manager, said: “The time is right for us to enter the UK market. The consumer has embraced Prosecco, as illustrated in the growth of the category over the last 18 months.”

Located in the northern Italian province of Treviso, 50 miles from Venice, Follador is now looking to enlist distributors for its UK debut.

Follador added: “We are very excited about the future and are confident that a significant investment in the UK will mark the next successful chapter in Follador’s long history.”

Follador has already opened an office in Mayfair, London, and is now looking for UK marketing opportunities.
