Sir Cliff Richard has appointed a new distributor for his range of wines.

Chalié Richards has been appointed to distribute Vida Nova and Onda Nova.  The agreement covers the UK and selected international markets - including Eastern Europe and China, and is effective immediately.

Chalié Richards managing director Bob Rishworth said: ”I have generally dismissed celebrity wines as being a marketing gimmick, but having tasted the Vida Nova and Onda Nova range I can honestly say that I was bowled over by the quality.”

The wine is made at the Adega do Cantor (winery of the singer) at Guia in the Algarve, and is a joint venture between three vineyard owners, Sir Cliff Richard, Max Birch the winemaker, and Nigel Birch.

The range consists of Vida Nova and Onda Nova.  Vida Nova has an RRP of Ł7.49 and is available as a Tinto with Aragonęs, Syrah, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, as a Rosé with Aragonęs and a touch of Syrah, and as a Reserva Syrah Aragonęs blend at Ł10.99.  Onda Nova is available as a Rosé with Aragonęs, and as a Tinto with Syrah, and has an RRP of Ł7.99.  The range is targeted at independent and multiple on trade and selected off trade outlets.
