Although at the heart of the competition there was a cocktail competition, the eight finalists also had to complete a questionnaire testing their knowledge of whisky.  Sinclair’s winning cocktail was called “Equilibrium” and comprised:

50ml Glenfiddich 18 Year Old

15ml Grant’s morello chery brandy 

3 drops of Aztec chocolate bitters

Garnish: apple wood smoke.

Second came Michael Allan from the Raconteur bar in Edinburgh and third was Andrew Miller from the Elbow bar also Edinburgh.
