Zamora Company buys major stake in Chinese distributor

22 June, 2018

Zamora Company has purchased a majority stake in Chinese wine and spirits distributor Tintafina.

The deal is a joint venture that will see Tintafina take on the distribution of all Zamora’s wine and spirit brands including Licor 43, Lolea Sangria and Ramón Bilbao Rioja wines with immediate effect.

The family-owned Spanish company will now have three out of the five places on the management board at Tinafina.

Victor ten Wode, region director at Zamora Company, said: “This decision is a clear execution of our company’s strategy to reinforce and continuously improve our routes to markets.

“We will strengthen our relationship with existing distribution partners and we will also enter channels we haven’t been represented in before.

“We will continue to accelerate the growth of Ramón Bilbao, and see a bright future for Lolea and our premium spirit portfolio in China.”
