Cocktails in the City returns this summer

12 July, 2016

Cocktails in the City will return with a summer edition later this month.

The Summer Edition, held at London’s Bedford Square Gardens on 29-30 July, will see twenty-five of London’s ‘most exciting’ bars celebrate the ‘best of the city’s drinking scene’.

In addition to the 25 pop-up bars, event producers Bourne & Hollingsworth will provide a series of interactive spirit masterclasses hosted by ambassadors and master distillers throughout the day. The ‘Spirited Sermons’ will explore subjects such as healthy drinking, the origins of rum and Mayan Balché.

B&H Group said: “From Soho’s quirky boutique basement bars and Dalston’s dirty tequila joints to Mayfair’s elegant 5* hotels and Shoreditch’s award winning institutions. Cocktails in the City is truly the only place where all of London’s drinking scenes can be found in one place, and at the one time. So whether guests are Hackney Hipsters, West End Sipsters, Free Drink Scroungers or First Class Loungers, Cocktails in the City will have something for everyone.”

Staffing crisis could open opportunities

However, while revenues are returning and bars are beginning to recruit once more, we’ve come up against a whole new set of problems, one of which is a global starring crisis.
