Pernod announces new MD for Pernod Ricard UK

Denis O’Flynn, currently managing director – Ireland for Irish Distillers, is the new managing director of Pernod Ricard UK from October 17.

Ex-Diageo, O’Flynn joined Pernod in 1998 as human resources Director (HR) production division, Irish Distillers. In July 1999, he was appointed HR director Irish Distillers group before assuming the position of commercial director – Ireland in March 2010. O’Flynn has held the position of managing director – Ireland since July 2011.

O’Flynn will report to Laurent Lacassagne, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Europe, and will be a member of the Pernod Ricard Europe regional executive committee.

Pernod Ricard has also announced that John Leburn, currently finance and development director, Pernod Ricard UK, has been appointed to the position of chief financial officer for Corby Distilleries (Canada) from November 1.

Leburn will be based in Toronto and will be a member of the management committee, reporting to Patrick O’Driscoll, managing director of Corby Distilleries.

Julia Massies, currently Finance Director of Pernod Ricard UK will assume full responsibility for the Finance function of Pernod Ricard UK also with effect from November 1, reporting directly to O’Flynn.
