Ardbeg launches second Supernova

26 May, 2010

Islay malt whisky, Ardbeg is to launch a second edition of Ardbeg Supernova – SN2010 – to be released on May 31 2010. This limited edition release is 40% more peaty than the distillery’s already heavily peated flagship Ardbeg ten years old.

Ardbeg SN2010 has the same very high peat levels as the 2009 release but a higher strength at 60.1% abv and deeper, earthier character. Hamish Torrie, brand director Ardbeg said: “The limited supplies of Ardbeg SN2010 coupled with the anticipated high levels of interest in this whisky, we expect it may not be available for long!”

Ardbeg SN2010 will be available in limited quantities online at http://www.ardbeg.com and at specialist whisky shops around the world from 31st May at a price of around £80.00.
