The Symington family has announced that their business has become a B Corp based on its social and environmental performance and ethical business practices.

The Symington family has announced 2017 as a vintage port year, making this the first ever back-to-back general declaration in th winemaker's history.

Portugal: The Blandy Group has regained control of the Madeira Wine Company (MWC) from Symington Family Estates. Symington will still retain a minority share in the business, but intends to concentrate on its Cockburn port brand, which it purchased last year.

I know how wierd this might seem but I often think that the opening of a new distillery is like the launch of a new submarine. It is unveiled in all its pristine glory in a blaze of publicity and fanfare.
