Stella David,†Bacardi's chief marketing officer, has decided to leave the company†

Bacardiís chief marketing officer, Stella David, has decided to leave the company after 15 years.

"Bacardi Limited is a great company and I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of it for the last 15 years. It has great brands and great people who I will miss. I have the opportunity to consider a variety of business options, so it was the right time for me to make this decision,Ē David is quoted as saying.

She leaves at the end of July. No successor has been announced.

The departure follows the announcement that Maurice Doyle, managing director of Bacardiís Global Travel Retail division, is also leaving at the end of July. He is joining William Grant & Sons, as group marketing director†

Talking the challenges of cocktail weeks

Having recently returned from the US visiting both Oakland and Arizona Cocktail Weeks I was amazed by the differences in approach. In Oakland there was a much bigger trade focus and it felt more relaxed, whereas in Arizona it was one massive party for consumers.
